Industry Liaison Officer - Trade College - Scarborough

  • Location: Scarborough, QLD
  • Engagement Type: Permanent Position (Full-Time)
  • Salary: $70,000 - $80,000 +Super (Negotiable based on experience)
  • Start date: Early to mid Jan 2026

Randstad is partnering with a leading not-for-profit Trade College in North Brisbane (Scarborough) to find a dedicated Industry Liaison Officer. You will be crucial in delivering a highly supported career pathway experience that champions education with real purpose. The College operates as a Senior Vocational School, focused on empowering people through high-quality education, training, and employment support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Mentorship and Coaching: Providing personalised coaching to students to enhance their character and employability skills, including conducting pre- and post-placement career coaching sessions.
  • Partnership Development: Forging and nurturing partnerships with new and existing employers to facilitate work experience, apprenticeships, and traineeship placements.
  • Placement Coordination: Coordinating seamless student placement into industry blocks, including conducting risk assessments with employers for every placement to ensure compliance and duty of care.
  • SAT Monitoring: Acting as the key liaison for School-Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships (SATs) between all relevant stakeholders, monitoring student progress and managing support processes.
  • Travel: This role requires regular travel between the College and industry partners (up to approximately 20 hours per week) to maintain strong relationships.

Skills and Experience:

  • Accreditation: Must hold or be willing to obtain a Certificate IV in Career Development.
  • Essential Checks:National Police Check, Valid Working with Children Check (WWC or Blue card), and a Current Drivers Licence
  • Background: Previous experience in a similar role or a strong Industry background with transferable skills.
  • Communication & Negotiation: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
